Yorkshire Foundation Supports Hurricane Ida Water Bottle Drive

Yorkshire Foundation supported the Hurricane Ida Water Bottle Drive for our Louisiana neighbors. Between the Foundation and Yorkshire Academy, over 350 cases of water were donated and delivered to Minute Man Park. From there, truckloads of water bottles were delivered to Louisiana.

YF Sponsors 2020 Casa de Esperanza Pajama Drive

The Yorkshire Foundation supported Yorkshire Academy's Casa de Esperanza Foster Care Pajama Drive Over 300 pairs of pajamas were donated and all will go to current or former foster care children.

Yorkshire Foundation's Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park Fundraiser

Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park Fundraiser

On January 24, 2020, Yorkshire Foundation celebrated Australia Day by honoring the country, as well as making a donation of $4,805.25 to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to help with the wildfire crisis.  Families from Yorkshire Academy donated change, supported a Stella & Dot Fundraiser, and/or purchased the book The Dragons of Kangaroo Island: More Adventures of an Undersea Creature written, illustrated and signed by Y.A. art teacher, Jacqueline Stanley (copies of which she donated), with all proceeds going toward the fundraiser.  

Sincere thanks goes to Jacqui Stanley, Angela Rivero and many Yorkshire families and staff members for their support.

Yorkshire Nutcracker Market Fundraiser Record Breaking Success!

The Nutcracker Market Fundraiser raised $8,771.06 for the Yorkshire Foundation's support of Y.A.'s Fine Arts Department. This stellar event was spearheaded by an incredibly hard working, creative, and ambitious group of parent volunteers.  Elements of this special day included: Breakfast with Santa, raffle baskets, book sale, various vendors, Musical t-shirt and flower sale.

 

 

Yorkshire Foundation Received Mary and Al Danos Grant for Second Year in a Row

The Yorkshire Foundation Board was delighted to be given the opportunity this fall to again apply for a grant from the Mary and Al Danos Foundation. Mrs. Swinbank was so grateful to receive the news that the Yorkshire Foundation was awarded a grant for the second year in a row, this year in the amount $30,000. The entire Yorkshire community would like to thank the Danos family for their incredible generosity.

• Dr. Crystal Collier will return for another presentation.  This seminar will be 'Bullying & Cyberbullying' - Friday, February 28th - 9 a.m.

YF Sponsors Casa de Esperanza Pajama Drive

The Yorkshire Foundation and the Yorkshire Academy 5th grade sponsored a pajama drive for Casa de Esperanza foster care nonprofit community.  Over 300 pajamas were collected for this wonderful place.

Parent Education Series - Technology Boundaries

 

Dr. Crystal Collier presented Technology Boundaries on February 15, 2019.  This well attended seminar covered how parents set healthy boundaries for themselves and their children when use of technology permeates our lives so inextricably.
