Yorkshire’s founders established the non-profit Yorkshire Foundation to draw on Yorkshire Academy's expertise in fostering a child’s intellect, creativity, and social development. These attributes extend to educational and enrichment programs for children and adults alike, both at the school and in the community.
Most fundraising activities on behalf of Yorkshire Academy are conducted through the Yorkshire Foundation. The foundation applies for grants and corporate funding each year as well as seeking outside donations through the Foundation website's online giving option. All funds raised are used to promote excellence at the school, to enhance learning in the community, and extend a helping hand around the globe.
The Yorkshire Foundation is a fully qualified 501© (3) non-profit organization. Contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
From time to time other events and activities take place with the proceeds used to support the expenses of managing our excellent program supporting literacy, computer instruction and technology, visual and performing arts, parent education and ongoing teacher education. Parents and families are encouraged to enjoy participation at dinners, fairs and other occasions in support of the school.
Community outreach, both locally and in the wider world, is a vital aspect of the Yorkshire Foundation. A series of parent education seminars are conducted quarterly and are open to the community at large.
Yorkshire Foundation has given the Academy an exciting opportunity to participate in the renowned Giraffe Heroes Program. This program will directly involve Yorkshire Academy students for years to come developing their leadership strengths and fostering the initiative to become global heroes.
Yorkshire Foundation invites all to explore this website to learn about past successes and find out what is planned for the coming year. Online donations are accepted, and comments are always welcome.
